Best Start Breastfeeding Consult - Home Visit Melbourne

After popular demand, we now offer our new 'Best Start' breastfeeding package because eduction is key when it comes to breastfeeding :)

This package entitles you to:

X1 antenatal lactation consult where your IBCLC's will take you through everything you need to know to get your breastfeeding journey off to the right start.

We will walk you through antental expressing, breast/nipples assessment (eg flat nipples/hypoplastic breasts/breast augmentations/inverted nipples) and put a plan in place.  Fit you with a nipple shield should this be necessary from previous experience or evident flat nipples.  Discuss any previous issues you had and assist in making your next experience as seamless as possible.  Run through correct position and attachment and discuss the basics of what to expect post birth.

Please note you will be given a FREE antenetal expressing kit upon booking this visit valued at $39.95.

*We recommend an A/N visit from around week 36.

X1 postnatal visit in the hospital or your home to check for correct attachment and positioning.  Observe a breastfeed and provide encouragement, reassurance and support.  We will also assist in putting a plan in place should this be required eg baby needs a feeding plan due to weight loss.  Assist in fitting your breast pump of choice with correct insert should this be required. Troubleshoot any issues that may arise or currently need assistance with.  Appease any concerns you may have regarding your feeding journey.  Above all, show you with love, support and encouragement.

Once your consult has been purchased, you’ll be matched with one of our team members within 48 hours. They will contact you directly using the phone number provided at checkout to arrange a suitable time for your session. If any additional information is needed, we’ll be in touch prior to your appointment to ensure you get the most out of your consult.
